The Cotswolds are well connected to London, with regular bus services, train lines and major road networks, allowing easy access to the region. In this section we look at how to get to The Cotswolds from London.
With budget airlines offering cheap flights into London from numerous locations across Europe, reaching The Cotswolds has never been easier.
Once on the eastern side of the M25 Motorway ringroad, taking the M4O will then direct you to Oxford, via the A40. If you then carry on the A40 you will be taken into the heart of The Cotswolds and onto Cheltenham.
If you take the M4 motorway which begins in West London, near Fulham, you can reach the cities of Bristol and Bath.
The Oxford Tube bus service links London to Oxford with services every ten minutes, with National Express bus services linking London to Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham.
London Paddington train station links London to all the major cities within the Cotswolds, including Bristol, Oxford and Cheltenham. Stopping en route at Stroud or Moreton in Marsh train stations will also situate you close to the Cotswold villages.
